Digital Unclutter, Part 3: Autumn
March 31, 2017
Oh, Autumn. The colours, the leaves and apples, the sweaters and wool bonnets... the colours. This is the season that inspires me the most, and sharing it with her made it all the more special. We spent our days crunching through leaf carpets, and munching on apples from a local orchard, or in the wild with our friends in the country. And probably took enough photos of her in animal bonnets that inevitably one day she'll stumble upon them and turn to me asking "Why, mom? Just why?"
And in case you're wondering why I'm inexplicably gushing about autumn and sharing a smorgasbord of autumn photographs at the end of March, it's all part of my process of sorting through the hoard of files (mostly photographs) that's accumulated the past two years, and "journaling" what was never shared in this space, no matter how untimely. My home may appear minimal and organized, but my hard drive sure ain't, and I'm trying to get a grasp on that this year.
Here's PART 1 & PART 2 of Operation Digital Unclutter, if you're interested. Fair warning, it's 99% baby spam.
We must have made 4 or 5 visits to Berryview Farms over the fall, coming home bags full of apples to make pies, juice, sauces, and to eat with breakfast, lunch and dinner (and snack on in between). We made a special trip the day before Halloween, with a little fox-eared, bushy-tailed girl, on a perfect mild, overcast day - one of my favourite outings of the season, with lots of photographs to remember it by.
So many wonderful autumn adventures with my friend Veronika and her family.
