Cloth Diapering Accessories

Cloth Diapering Accessories

This is a list of the accessories that we found most useful during our cloth diapering experience.

Oko Creations Organic Reusable wipes – Made in Canada
These cloth wipes wash incredibly well and are super soft, made from 80% organic cotton, 20% recycled polyester. We use them with just a bit of warm water or a homemade spray mixture (there's a huge list of recipes here).

Thirsties Hemp or Organic Cotton Inserts – Made in USA
These are incredibly absorbent, especially the hemp (which need to be boiled or washed+dried several times in hot cycle to reach max absorbency). We use them as a booster at nighttime for our heavy-wetter in all of our diapers. The hemp inserts are best not used directly against the skin, as they absorb liquid more slowly, but with a cotton insert between, or between the cover and insert.

Planetwise Wet / Dry Bag – Made in USA
We use this diaper bag for travel, keeping clean diapers in the dry section, and wet diapers in the wet section. This diaper bag can be washed and dried along with diapers. We can fit 5-6 wet diapers + reusable wipes in it.

Ubbi diaper pail + reusable liner bag
This pail can be used with both disposable and reusable bags – we use their reusable liner bag, and just throw the bag in the wash with the diapers. It's attractive, odour-proof, and durably made of steel.

Earth Mama Organic Diaper Balm
We use this diaper balm to clear up any redness – it works like a charm.

Weleda Diaper Cream
Diaper creams with zinc aren't recommended for use with cloth diapers, but we use it between those deep inner thigh rolls (and also to clear up drool rash under those neck rolls), as the zinc helps clear up rashes caused by trapped moisture.
